Sandbox

What is a sandbox?

A sandbox is an isolated test environment. You can use our sandbox to safely test tiun functionality, for example, integrate our payment snippets and interaction tracking in a controlled environment before deploying to production.

For example, when testing in a sandbox, the payments you create are simulated and not processed by payment providers.

How to get started

Find the 'Connect and Pay' product in our side navigation on the left and click on 'Configuration.' On the page you can toggle the 'Sandbox Mode' on the top right to activate it.

In the side navigation you see 'Connect and Pay / Configuration' selected. Top right you can see the 'Sandbox Mode' toggle.

Set Up 'Sandbox Mode'

To enable 'Sandbox Mode' for the first time, enter the domain of your main test environment (you can always add more later). Example: test.environment.com and click on Activate 'Sandbox Mode'.

Activate or Deactivate 'Sandbox Mode'

'Sandbox Mode' is activated when the orange notification banner shows up. You can always deactivate 'Sandbox Mode' by toggling or clicking 'Deactivate Sandbox Mode' in banner again.

The orange notification banner in the user interface is signalling that 'Sandbox Mode' is activated.

Test functionality and integrations in 'Sandbox Mode'

Switching to Sandbox Mode modifies the base URL to the sandbox environment. All calls and snippets use the sandbox base URL by default, pointing to sandbox endpoints. This keeps changes made during testing distinct from the production data. Begin integrating and testing our products in Sandbox Mode now. After validating all tests, you can disable Sandbox Mode and use the production endpoints.
